Eric Endo is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Mathematics at NYU Shanghai. Endo holds a double PhD degree, one in Applied Mathematics at University of São Paulo and one in Mathematics at University of Groningen. His PhD thesis received the Cum Laude distinction at University of Groningen. He was a Postdoctoral Instructor at NYU Shanghai until 2021.
Endo’s general interests are in classical statistical mechanics. He currently works in the spin system, such as ferromagnetic Ising models in a family of regular two-body interactions, e.g., nearest-neighbor and long-range. He is also interested in combinatorics and probability, such as random graphs, cluster expansion, and thermodynamic formalism. His publications have appeared in leading journals, such as Communication in Mathematical Physics, Annales Henri Poincaré, Nonlinearity, Stochastic Processes and their Applications.
